World’s Most Dangerous Roads: Best Of Asian Countries - Philippines, India, China & Bangladesh World's Most Dangerous Roads - The Flying Trucks of Kenya: 🤍 00:00:00 Philippines' Serpentines (2014) The Halsema Highway, situated on the island Luzon, leads right through the Philippine jungle with its frequent fog and heavy rainfalls. Every trip on this so-called road is an adventure and highly dangerous. We accompany a bus driver and a taxi driver on their challenging trip across the mountains. 00:42:44 India - Leh-Manali Highway (2010) It is a road of mountain passes and India’s access to the roof of the world – the Himalayas. This 475-kilometre long route at the northernmost tip of the Indian subcontinent connects the cities of Manali and Leh at the heart of the Ladakh region. The term “highway” applies quite literally, since the route traverses five of the highest drivable mountain passes in the world – among these the Lohtang La at 3,978 metres above sea level, the Lachulung La at 5,059 metres and the Tanglang La at 5,325 metres. Crossing these passes is a challenge for both vehicle and man. The mountain peaks, still snow-capped even in the depths of summer, wide variety of vegetation and the fantastic and craggy landscape turn any journey into a captivating adventure. 01:25:44 China - The Sichuan-Tibet Highway (2014) The Sichuan Tibet Highway is the road of longing for many. It leads through fascinating landscapes and remote areas up to the Himalayan Mountains. We accompany truck driver Ren Taiping on his trip to the Tibetan capital city of Lhasa, encountering pilgrims, mountain bikers and nomads on this dangerous journey. 02:08:25 Bangladesh - The Nawabpur Road in Dhaka (2010) In Bangladesh, the land with the highest density of population in the world (and the highest amount of corruption), the daily struggle to survive is fought everywhere, including the streets. Nowhere do people drive as brutally and recklessly as here. In Bangladesh you drive on the road like others drive with a bumper car: if you need space, you simply ram the car driving next to you. The police only came if there are fatalities. The biggest bottleneck in the transport system is the historical old town of Dhaka. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe Free Documentary Channel for free: 🤍 Join the club and become a Free Documentary Patron: 🤍 Facebook: 🤍 Twitter: 🤍 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #MostDangerousRoads ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free. World’s Most Dangerous Roads: Best Of - Burundi, Mali, Bolivia & Canada World's Most Dangerous Roads - The Flying Trucks of Kenya: 🤍 00:00:00 Burundi The racing cyclists of Burundi have a dangerous job. But it’s a vital one for Burundi’s economy. Bicycles are the main means of transportation in one of the smallest countries in Africa. Bananas, the staple food in Burundi, are transported from the markets to a banana beer brewing factory. We accompany Tharcien, a bike courier, on his exhausting cross country trip on the Burundi Highway. 00:42:44 Mali The air wants to flee the heat, but is too weak. It hovers just above the ground, heavy and weighed down by the oven-like heat. It turns wanly around itself, and tries to cool off by liquefying itself. It vibrates, it oscillates – but there is no escape. This is West Africa in late March. The Harmattan, the hot desert wind of the Sahara, is blowing without respite. It has no pity with the people who live here. Whoever wants to go from one place to another has to travel on roads that hardly deserve this name. They are dusty paths that don’t appear on any map. They are maneuverable only with great effort and for a few months of the year. 01:25:09 Bolivia The Carretera de la muerte - the road to death- is one of the most dangerous roads in the world. Year after year many people die here. We accompany trucker Omar and his co-driver Jaime on their trip across the Andes, encountering cyclists, mountain bikers and coca-farmers on the way. 02:07:29 Canada The Canadian ice roads exist only for a few months in the winter when the ice is thick enough. The only time of the year when goods can be transported up to Northern Manitoba. We accompany the truckers Vlad and Hugh as well as the aboriginal Canadian Scott with his pick-up on their long journey to a village called God’s Lake. A risky trip in icy temperatures, sometimes even below - 60 degrees Celcius. World's Most Dangerous Roads: Deadliest Journeys in Bolivia (2020) Deadliest Roads - All Episodes: 🤍 In the Andean cordillera of Bolivia, two mothers risk their lives as they travel some of the most dangerous roads in the country. After having stocked up in La Paz, the highest capital city in the world, MARIA, the grocer, returns to her village. It’s situated in the high mountains of the Yungas forest. Maria is one of the rare women in Bolivia who dare take on these trails that are lost in the clouds. The grocer is an ace at the wheel and as brave as they come, well worthy of the wages of fear, in risking the trip along the dizzy heights of the ravines. But once she gets up there, her journey is not over. She runs further risks by taking her mobile store up to a remote village. Maria doesn’t do this for the money, but to bring assistance to the residents, who walk for an hour through the mountains for a few errands. LOURDES ventures along one of the most notorious of the “Roads of Death”, in order to bring help to the women who dig for gold. She tries to persuade them to give up this trade, which will never make them rich and which, more importantly is killing them by slow degrees… whole families work in waters that are highly polluted with mercury. The road leading to the mines is a way of the cross, with broken-down trucks and landslides regularly cutting off the route. Rain falls incessantly, the weakened mountain sides collapse, carrying houses and roads in their passage. It’s clear that Bolivia, because of global warming, is suffering from extreme climatic phenomena. The fault partly lies with the loggers, who, little by little, are killing the Amazon forest. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe Free Documentary Channel for free: 🤍 Facebook: 🤍 Instagram: 🤍 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #MostDangerousRoads ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free. World’s Most Dangerous Roads | Russia - The Long Road to Siberia (2010) World’s Most Dangerous Roads | Bangladesh - The Nawabpur Road: 🤍 They run through deserts, through ice and snow, deep into the jungle, along the water and over the mountains. The landscapes through which these routes wind are unique and exert their never-ending fascination even on regular travellers. The roads at the Artic Circle are covered in ice and snow almost eight months out of the year. Conditions that would lead to a total collapse further south are routine for the experienced men of the High North on the road in their trucks. But the truckers work under the same time pressures as their colleagues in the warmer South: the goods must get to customers on time. World's Most Dangerous Roads: Deadliest Journeys in Peru in 2018 From the north to the south of Peru, deep canyons cut into the Andes cordillera. People who need to supply their gold mines, cultivate their vines or simply regain access to their villages, have no choice but to embark on the most unlikely of roads, carved out of the rock. Major companies have a base at the end of the road, attracted by the fabulous natural resources of the country, whether it is underground with its wealth of precious metals, or in its waters teeming with fish. However, all this wealth rarely benefits the unskilled workers, the men and women who have to bend double to work deep in the tunnels, scratching at the earth amidst clouds of ammonia, or risk their lives at the end of a 200’ rope, for a handful of euros. From the Maranon River valley to the Cotahuasi canyon, by way of the Paracas desert, this Impossible Road takes us through the magnificent landscapes of Peru, where life comes at a high price… ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Subscribe Free Documentary Channel for free: 🤍 Join the club and become a Free Documentary Patron: 🤍 Facebook: 🤍 Twitter: 🤍 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ #FreeDocumentary #Documentary #MostDangerousRoads ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ Free Documentary is dedicated to bringing high-class documentaries to you on YouTube for free. World's Most Dangerous Roads: Deadliest Journeys in Ivory Coast (2020) Deadliest Roads - All Episodes: 🤍 Titles to glory, with medals made of chocolate… “The infrastructure is in a desperate state,” complains one cocoa bean trucker who zigzags between the potholes. “When the prime minister came to the region they filled in the holes, but they never repaired the road!” Cocoa producers are in despair. “Getting the product out of the forest is a major problem. You leave here in the morning, but you don’t know if you’ll get there by night.” Yakou is one of the last drivers willing to supply the most remote villages. There’s only 45 kilometres to travel and it takes him between 8 and 10 hours to get there! The journey is so demanding that his son, who helps him during the vacations, doesn’t want to inherit the family’s one item of wealth: the truck. But nothing in the world would make him abandon his father. “My father’s brave, he’s a fighter!” To confront the highways, which are that in name only, Ivory Coast mechanical geniuses construct a replica of a 1970s minibus, part by part. The Badjan! Zoum owns one, but like the majority of drivers, he does not have the means to maintain it… “You see us cutting and welding the parts because we don’t have the means to buy new ones.” Today, cocoa no longer brings in sufficient revenues so some people are tearing up the trees to search for gold! This is Guoliang Tunnel Road, China Carved through a mountain in the Taihang Mountains of China, this road is extremely narrow, with cliffs on one side and a mountain face on the other. It was built by the local villagers and is known for its hairpin turns and breathtaking views. Guoliang Tunnel Road, located in the Taihang Mountains of China's Henan Province, is a remarkable and breathtaking feat of human engineering. Carved into the side of a mountain, this road is an incredible testament to the determination and resourcefulness of the local villagers. The road stretches for about 1.2 kilometers (0.75 miles) and winds its way through the rocky cliffs, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscapes. What makes Guoliang Tunnel Road particularly unique is that it was not constructed by professional engineers or government agencies but rather by the villagers of Guoliang themselves. Prior to the construction of the tunnel, the villagers had to endure an arduous journey along treacherous mountain trails to reach the outside world. In the 1970s, they decided to take matters into their own hands and began chiseling a passage through the solid rock of the mountainside. It took them five years to complete this incredible tunnel, using only basic tools and their unwavering determination. The road is quite narrow, with just enough space for one vehicle to pass through at a time. Its walls are rugged and unfinished, serving as a constant reminder of the villagers' laborious efforts. The tunnel is adorned with small openings that allow natural light to filter in, adding an ethereal ambiance to the journey. Traveling along Guoliang Tunnel Road is an awe-inspiring experience, but it is not without its challenges. The tight turns and narrow passages require careful navigation, and drivers must exercise caution at all times. Additionally, due to the road's popularity among tourists, traffic can get congested during peak seasons. Despite the risks, Guoliang Tunnel Road has become a renowned tourist attraction, drawing visitors from around the world who wish to witness the remarkable achievement of the villagers. It stands as a testament to human perseverance and the incredible ability to conquer seemingly insurmountable obstacles. Traveling along Guoliang Tunnel Road offers a unique combination of danger, adventure, and natural beauty, making it an unforgettable experience for those brave enough to embark on the journey. _ Riding through the tough roads | These drivers have amazing riding skills that will shock you😱 World’s Most Dangerous Roads | Bolivia - The Road to Death in the Andes | Free Documentary Perilous Pathways: Navigating the World's Most Treacherous Roads Roads of Peril: Confronting the World's Most Dangerous Highways Perilous Passages: Navigating the World's Most Dangerous Roads World's Most Dangerous Roads - Senegal: Into the Mud World’s Most Dangerous Roads | Burundi - The Racing Cyclists | Free Documentary Duniya Kee Sabase Khataranaak Sadak Par Jaanaa: " Karakoram Death Road (Haadse bhee hue the!) In order to supply the gold mines, tend their vines or quite simply gain access to their villages, people have no choice but to take the most improbable of roads, hewn out of the rock. Major companies always find their place at the end of the road, attracted by the fabulous natural resources of the country, either under the ground with its wealth of precious metals or in its waters teeming with fish. However, it’s rare for all this wealth to benefit the lowly workers, the men and women who have to bend double to work deep in the shafts, scratching at the earth amidst clouds of ammonia, or risk their lives at the end of a 200’ rope, for a handful of euros. From the Maranon River valley to the Cotahuasi canyon, by way of the Paracas desert, this Impossible Road makes its way through a Peru of magnificent landscapes, but where life comes at a high price… director: Frédéric Elhorga, Antonin Marcel Follow us on social media : Facebook : 🤍

There is a world-famous "cliff village" in Liangshan, Sichuan Province, China, formerly known as Atuleer Village, with 72 families living here. The village as a whole is located in a mountain pass at an altitude of 1,400 to 1,600 meters. The villagers walk to the outside, outside the village need to climb the cliff drop of nearly 800 meters over the 13 steps of 218 steps of rattan escalator. The history of the village can be traced back to 200 years ago, as the background of the time was full of banditry and war in the Central Plains, the villagers came to find this place in order to find a peaceful place to escape from the world. Due to the fertile local soil, the villagers eventually settled here, away from the turmoil of the outside world, their own self-sufficient heirloom life for nearly 200 years. As it is located on a cliff more than 1000 4 meters above sea level, and the vertical distance from the ground reaches 800 meters, the village has no road from the top of the cliff to the foot of the mountain, and the road connecting the village of Atulel to the outside world is 17 rattan ladders. Villagers have to climb the ladder to get in and out of the village, so the vertical distance of up to 800 meters on the cliff climbing, the danger can be imagined, over the years this road from time to time villagers fall and even death.

World’s Most Dangerous Roads | Bangladesh - The Nawabpur Road in Dhaka (2010) World’s Most Dangerous Roads | India - Leh-Manali Highway: 🤍 In Bangladesh, the land with the highest density of population in the world (and the highest amount of corruption), the daily struggle to survive is fought everywhere, including the streets. Old Dhaka is a universe of its own, a world of bazaars in which every trade has its own quarter: there are streets of jewelers, sweets makers and fashionable tailors, and the vegetable wholesalers have their warehouses down at the port. The deliveries take place mostly on the river, the Buriganga River, a stinking cesspool. But the sold goods usually leave by land, and the customers also come by the land route – the Nawabpur Road. They generally come in buses or by rickshaw, where too many people are crammed into too little space. The traffic in Dhaka is everyday, normal madness. The film accompanies a rickshaw, a bus and a truck on their dangerous way through the streets of Dhaka and shows how it is possible to survive in what seems to be an incontrollable chaos. World's Most Dangerous Roads - Madagascar: Face To Death

In Madagascar, “rosewood” is at the heart of everyone's desire. For illegal loggers, the last trees in the country are the main source of their income; coveted trees are the last on earth. In Masoala, a villager leads a team of five lumberjacks, the “festy festy”, “les petits malins”. For 5 euros a day, they have to face the torrential rains, mud, mosquitoes and oppressive heat. They have to descend from the mountain a log of nearly 500 kilos for three days. A grueling journey. To transport “the rosewood” safely, these men risk their lives in the rapids. This is the most dangerous moment in transport. Before they can use canoes, carriers must pass the rapids with rafts. The logs are then sent to China. In Madagascar, poverty drives thousands of peasants to the south of the island, "Ilakaka", the largest deposit of sapphires in the world. For ten years, this Malagasy "Eldorado" has attracted students, the unemployed, taxi drivers, a whole population of underprivileged people who come to seek their fortune. As far as the eye can see, the ocher earth has been dug by hand , a multitude of manholes approximately 1 meter in diameter. Ilakaka, anyone can try their luck, all it takes is a shovel, a pickaxe and a lot of luck. To find precious stones, a miner goes blind down the well, digs, fills buckets that another man brings to the surface by a rope. All that remains is to pass this land through a sieve to hope to find the precious stone. It’s simple, but dangerous. Problems arise as soon as the shafts are a dozen meters deep and the miners decide to dig the galleries horizontally, without shoring. In this Gruyere that the region has become, collapses are very frequent and, regularly, minors do not come to the surface! Director: Daniel Lainé, David Geoffrion
